Job Description

R.J. Grondin & Sons is currently seeking someone to join their team as a Construction Site Supervisor. This position is responsible for the overall leadership of all projects including, monitoring the overall quality of work and safety performance. Qualified candidates will thoroughly understand the construction industry, contract documents, plans and specifications and have excellent communication and team-building skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead all aspects of a major earthwork project, including utility installation, road reconstruction, sidewalks, retaining walls, etc.
  • Schedule all materials, people, equipment and trucks required to complete the work
  • Complete daily job site inspections and construction reports including AHA’s, equipment reports, confined space entry, and trenching reports are filled out prior to any work activity beginning for the day
  • Lead and mentor job site personnel
  • Prioritize safety by maintaining a safe work environment for all employees and subcontractors while complying with all OSHA and environmental safety standards

Requirements:

  • 4 to 5 years of heavy earth work construction or related experience required
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field is a plus but not required
  • Proven experience developing client relationships
  • Very strong communication, listening, and organizations skills
  • 10 or 30 hour OSHA training preferred
